Friends we miss

Hello everyone,
The one thing I keep saying to myself is this is about breast cancer but not JUST breast cancer. These walks for me are about all cancers. Breast, colon and the list goes on and on. I hope the research that goes on for breast cancer also betters the survival rate of all cancers. When we lose our family and friends to this disease it does not matter what type it is.
So to Alice who we lost a month ago to this disease you are missed. To Al who we lost this week to cancer, you are missed. To my friend and mentor, Mort who we lost almost four years ago now, you are missed. The sunglasses I wear for the walks are ones that I bought when I was out here in 2003, as a constant reminder that I should see the world through someone else's eyes. Even if it is just looking for lost golf balls in woods! I am walking for all of the ones we miss.
